"As a mature student (29yrs old) I was a little apprehensive about moving into student accommodation, however John Lester Court has surpassed all my expectations. The rooms are clean, comfortable and not as small as you’d expect (You’ll also be surprised at the amount of stuff you can squeeze in!). I’ve found living here the last 2 years really convenient; being straight across the road from campus and having the shopping centre a 2 minute walk away has made life easier. The bus links to Manchester are excellent.....again straight across the road and the train station is 5 minutes away. The staff at John Lester are friendly, approachable and more than happy to help with any queries. As for noise levels.....well, the communal areas can get a little loud but that’s what they’re there for. The flats themselves are quiet and sleeping well at night is never an issue. The staff also try and match flatmates to your requirements so you can always request like-minded people and they will do their best to accommodate this. Oh and there’s 24hr security and the police station next door if you’re worried about the area, but to be honest I’ve never had any issues. Living at John Lester for me means I don’t have to worry about running a house and can concentrate on my degree....which is why I’m staying on for my last year as well! = )"

"After a tiring trip from Nigeria, I was led to my accommodation which was John Lester Court. Upon my arrival, I was welcomed by a member of staff at the reception and I was also given the welcome package which included the information I would need for the period of my stay.
One look at my room and the flat, I knew I would come to enjoy my stay here at the court. My room felt very homey and I was ready to settle in. My first amazement on the week of my arrival was the immediate response to a complaint I made about something in my room. I made the complaint in the morning and before I got back from the University, it had been taken care of. Same as any other issue that came up. Once the staff was notified either through an email or reporting at the reception, the issue was resolved within a very short period of time.
The staff helped in making us all feel at home through the various activities that were planned each week like the movie nights, BBQ, and other activities to help you make friends within the University. The staff is also very thoughtful. For example during the last semester's examination period, the cleaning staff helped out in the cleaning of every flat so that the occupants of each flat did not need to add cleaning up to their worries during that period.
I must say that I have enjoyed my stay in John Lester Court and would be very happy to live here again. It is a fantastic place to live because it has the right environment for some good hard work and also for getting to know friends."

"Upon arrival of my first day at John Lester, I was greeted by very welcoming and helpful staff that showed me what I was required to do and provided me with all the information I would need.
From there on the service hasn’t faltered, and three years down the line, I still feel very much at home.
If there are ever any problems within the flat you can notify the reception and it’ll get dealt with as soon as possible, whether that’s needed repairs or trouble with other residents, you’ll never need to worry.
Events are planned most weeks, such as BBQ’s, movie nights, the celebration of special days, and parties which can really help you especially if you’re a first year looking to mingle and make some new friends!
All in all, I've had a fantastic time living at John Lester. The staff are always friendly and willing to help where they can, it helped me settle down in preparation for some hard work and overall a great university experience."

"I am nearing the end of my second year at CLV in Salford and will definitely be booking up for my third year. The location is fantastic for both University and getting into central Manchester in the evenings. The building is light, airy and clean. The students are all friendly and sociable. The facilities are amazing, from the launderette to the gym. The staff are always on hand for help and advice or just a friendly chat. The buildings and car park are very secure. The bus routes are all close by and the train station is just a 10 minute walk away. A plethora of shops including Tesco is just a short walk away too."
